Track and Field Wins Two Events in Weather-Shortened Tiger Track Classic

AUBURN, Ala. – The Troy track and field program had an impressive day at the Tiger Track Classic – including two event wins – before the meet was cut short due to inclement weather.

Cole Stewart and Haruki Sakai each won their respective events. Stewart threw 66.47m in the javelin, and Sakai hit 7.33m in the long jump.

Javon Osbourne placed second in the men's discus with a throw of 52.55m. Morgan Reese set a PR in the hammer throw with a mark of 60.82m, good for fourth place and is top 100 in the NCAA this season.

The men's 4x100 meter relay team finished third with a season-best time of 40.25, which is third in the Sun Belt this season.

Jack Anderson also set a PR in the high jump at 2.05m, which placed him fifth in the event.

On the women's side, Kyra Dalluge set a personal best in the women's 400m with a time of 58.28. In the long jump, Alejandra Gutierrez Fuente set a PR with a mark of 5.89m.

Due to the inclement weather, all reaming events were canceled.
