WEST POINT, Miss. – Brantley Scott returned to form Monday, shooting a pair of 69s to lead the Troy men's golf team in the opening two rounds of the Mossy Oak Collegiate at the Mossy Oak Golf Course. Troy is in 11^thplace and just 10 shots back of a fifth-place finish.

Scott carded 10 birdies across his two rounds, tied for the seventh-most in the field, and had just four bogeys across his 36 holes as he shot 6-under to find himself in eighth place, just three shots off the lead. Scott now has a team-leading nine rounds under par and five rounds in the 60s this season.

Troy shot 581 on the day, its fifth-best 36-hole total of the year and sits in 11^th place in a strong field. Auburn shot 35-under par as a team and leads Cincinnati by 23 shots, while Ole Miss, Augusta and Kansas State round out the top five. The Trojans were solid on the par-5s, shooting 13-under as a team, third best in the field, and combined for 36 birdies, sixth best on the day.

Pablo Gracia matched Scott with his ninth round under-par with an eventful second round that featured six birdies, two bogeys and a double; when the dust settled, he shot 2-under 70 to push his card even for the day, good for a tie for 28^th place.

Jake Springer added six birdies over his two rounds as he is tied for 56^th place at 5-over par, Nick Fowlkes added six birdies in his rounds of 74 and 76 and Will Simpson shot 11-over on the day to finish tied for 79^th.

Troy will play Tuesday's final round along with Louisiana and Middle Tennessee beginning on the 10^th hole at 9:20 a.m.
