Troy shot 41-of-90 from the field and forced Oakwood into 28 turnovers, which was four shy of tying the D-I program record to score the most points (109) since it scored 114 against LaGrange on Dec. 14, 2022. The first half couldn't have gone better for the Trojans as they shot 25-of-47 for 53.2 percent. Meanwhile, the Ambassadors would only shoot 10-of-29 (34.9 percent). Despite a drop in shooting in the second half (37.2), the Trojans made up for it defensively, forcing Oakwood into shooting just 25 percent.
Zay Dyer (14), Brianna Jackson (14), Leilani Guion (13), Ashley Baez (11), Adriana Jones (11) and Emani Jenkins (10) all ended with 10-plus points as all but one Trojan ended the night in the scoring column. All 12 Trojans crashed the boards as the Trojans dominated the battle at the glass, 64-30. Ten Trojans also swiped a steal on the night. Nine had multiple, five with three-plus, three with four-plus and Briana Peguero leading the way with five.
With back-to-back games at 60-plus rebounds, the Trojans are near their natural position atop the country in rebounds. Through nine games, they sit second in D-I basketball at 50.44. Troy also sits sixth in offensive and defensive rebounds (leading the SBC) with 18.4 and 32.0, respectively. The in-house rebound battle between Dyer and Fortuna Ngnawo continues to rage on as No. 5 leads the SBC in rebounds (8.9) and double-doubles (4). Meanwhile, the Cameroon native is just 0.1 rebound away from Dyer at 8.8 and one double-double away at three.
"Mo" has silently been a force on the defensive end, ranking fourth in the league in blocks (11) and blocks per game (1.2). After a four-game hiatus, the Oklahoma State transfer returned to the block column in the win against Oakwood. Jackson accumulated 10 in the first four games, including six in the season opener at Buffalo, one shy of the fifth-most in a single game and the most since Janeen Camp against LaGrange (12/14/22).

The American Athletic Conference's No. 1 team for scoring offense at 72.4 points is led by Tilly Boler with 16.4 points on a 35.6/31.6/81.0 shooting split. Saturday looks to be a rebounding battle between a pair of juggernauts in their respective conferences, as the Tigers rank 26th in the country for offensive rebounds with 15.6 per game (second in AAC). Memphis also sits third in the AAC and 57th nationally in total rebounds (41.5).
As the Tigers enter Trojan Arena on Saturday, they'll be looking to end a five-game losing streak at the hands of Ball State (95-66), Southeastern Louisiana (63-57), Murray State (87-83), ETSU (78-71) and fellow SBC member Southern Miss (82-69). Memphis' last win came at home against Samford on Nov. 10. They are 0-4 on the road. Boler did all she could against USM, ending with 22 points in all 40 minutes of play.
