TROY, Ala. – Winners of four straight to open the 2024 season, the Troy men's tennis team hits the home courts Tuesday afternoon when it hosts West Alabama at 12:30 p.m. It will be the Trojans' last match at home until March as they embark on a seven-match road trip spanning the final weekend of January and all of February.

Troy (4-0) is fresh off a sweep of AUM last Friday, as the Trojans defeated the Warhawks by a combined 13-0 margin in the doubleheader; this following an opening week sweep of Florida Gulf Coast and Buffalo.

The Trojans have won the doubles point in all four of their matches this spring and have won 18 of their last 19 matches when taking the doubles point to open a match.

Noah Martens and Mario Martinez are off to hot starts for the Trojans, as both are undefeated in singles in addition to carrying 3-1 marks in doubles. Yeray Andres Pastor and Nicolas Simkin are each 3-0 in singles, while Vicente Arbelaez made his Troy debut against AUM and picked up wins on courts five and six.

Troy has dominated its singles matches so far, posting a 20-3 record across the four matches, while the doubles pairings have won 66.7 percent of their matches.

West Alabama enters the spring season ranked No. 19 nationally among the NCAA Division II ranks.
