Troy Soccer Hosts Alabama State on Sunday Night

TROY, Ala. – Coming off its third consecutive win, the Troy women's soccer team hosts Alabama State on Sunday at 6 p.m. CT at the Troy Soccer Complex. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and live stats will be available on TroyTrojans.com.
Troy (4-1) is off to its best start through five games since 2016 when the Trojans also started 4-1. Alabama State (1-3-1) is coming off its first win of the season, as it defeated Talladega on Thursday night.
Newcomers Leading the Way
Freshman goaltender Rubie Kelley is riding a three-game clean sheet streak, making 11 saves over that period. The last time Troy had four consecutive clean sheets was in 2014. Troy is also looking for its first four-game win streak since 2019.
Delaney Wells scored two goals in her first home game as a Trojan in the 46th and 78th minute against Alabama A&M.
Hanging Out at the Top
The Trojans are tied at the top of the Sun Belt west division standings with 12 points along with South Alabama. Troy is one of three teams in the conference with four wins (Old Dominion and South Alabama).
Troy's one loss this season came against Auburn, who is also responsible for all five goals the Trojans have allowed this season.
