GULF SHORES, Ala. – Elisabeth Preus continued her strong play shooting a 1-over 73 in Tuesday's final round of the Bama Beach Bash at the Gulf Shores Country Club. She tied 23^rd overall to pace Troy, which finished in 11^th place, up one spot from the end of the second round.

Preus carded one of two Troy eagles on the par-5, 463-yard ninth on Tuesday and added four straight birdies from the 12^th through the 15^th holes. Starting on No. 10, Preus raced out to 4-under par on the day with her four consecutive birdies and reached as high as 3-over before the eagle on her final offering of the tournament.

It marks the second straight week that Preus has been Troy's top finisher after she tied for fifth the last time out.

Troy shot 21-over for the day, its best round of the week on a course that played to an average of 78.99 per golfer. Preus' eight birdies for the event were tied for the seventh most among the field, while Laura Fangmeyer's seven were close behind; Fangmeyer also eagled on No. 9 Tuesday.

ShaeLee Scarberry tied for 31^st place at 16-over for the week after shooting 5-over on Tuesday, while Fangmeyer tied for 46^th place at 20-over after carding two birdies in a round of 79. Bruna Roqueta shot 80 on Tuesday and tied for 64^th place and Jillian Friyia finished in 71^st place.

Not much rest of the Trojans as they travel to John's Creek, Ga., March 27-28 for the Georgia State Invitational at the Rivermont Country Club.
