TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's soccer team hosts Louisiana for its final home match of the season on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT, at the Troy Soccer Complex. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and live stats will be available on TroyTrojans.com. Admission to all Troy soccer games is free of charge.
Prior to the start of the game, 10 Trojan seniors will be honored on the field. Hallie Field, Jayme Haynes, Delaney Wells, Matilda Jakobsson, Evie Anderson, Lindsey LaRoche, Melissa Kuya-Strobel, Gabrielle Chartier, Jordan Stack and Alisa Detlefsen will all take part in the ceremony.
Troy (5-9-2, 0-6-2 SBC) is still hunting for its first conference win of the season and is coming off a 3-0 loss to ULM on Thursday.
Louisiana (6-7-2, 3-5-0 SBC) is coming off a 3-1 win over Arkansas State on Thursday.
The Numbers
The Trojans are winless in their last ten games (eight losses and two draws) and have a minus-10 goal differential. Despite this, the Trojans have given up more than two goals only twice this season – when they fell to Auburn 5-0 and ULM this past Thursday.
Chartier continues to pave the way for the Troy offense, leading the team in both goals (6) and points (13). Chariter entered her fourth year with the Trojans in 2023 with zero career goals and only four career points. Dolce Villaflor – a transfer from Central Michigan – is second on the team in points with eight (three goals and two assists).
The Trojans have rotated goalkeepers as of late, with both Une Hebnes Georgsen and Rubie Kelley seeing time in goal. On Thursday at ULM, Georgsen started the first half and gave up three goals on five shots. Kelley played the second 45 minutes and saved all four shots she faced. Overall, Troy goalkeepers are allowing 1.44 goals per game and saving 70.5 percent of shots faced.
The back line for the Trojans continues to be a strong presence. Troy has allowed a 41.3 percent shot-on-goal rate. The defense has been led by Olivia Simpson and Field. Field leads the team in minutes played at 1,432 with Simpson just behind her at 1,386.
