Troy Soccer Heads to ULM for Thursday Night Matchup

TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's soccer heads to Monroe, La., to face off against ULM on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Brown Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and live stats will be available on TroyTrojans.com.
Troy (5-8-2, 0-5-2 SBC) is coming off a 2-2 draw against Coastal Carolina at home on Saturday night.
ULM (8-2-5, 3-1-3 SBC) faced off against Arkansas State in its last time out and tied 2-2. The Warhawks have gone undefeated in its last five games.
The Numbers
The Trojan offense continues to be spearheaded by senior forward Gabrielle Chartier and her team-high six goals this season. Coming into this season, Chartier had yet to score a collegiate goal.
Forward Delaney Wells – who followed new head coach Stuart Gore from Northwestern State to Troy prior to the season – picked up her third goal of the season against Coastal Carolina, which puts her into a tie for second on the team with fellow transfer Dolce Villaflor.
Wells' goal on Saturday came off a corner kick, an area where the Trojans have been one of the best teams in the nation. Entering Thursday's match, Troy sits tied for 17th in the nation with 6.87 corners per game
The back line for the Trojans continues to be a strong presence. Troy has allowed a 41.1 percent shot-on-goal rate. The defense has been led by Olivia Simpson and Hallie Field, both transfers. Field leads the team in minutes played at 1,342 with Simpson just behind her at 1,296.
The Trojans have rotated goalkeepers as of late, with both Une Hebnes Georgsen and Rubie Kelley seeing time in goal. On Saturday against Coastal Carolina, Kelley played all 90 minutes and allowed two goals on four shots. Overall, Troy goalkeepers are allowing 1.33 goals per game and saving 71 percent of shots on goal.
Scouting the Opponent
Troy is 12-5-1 all-time against ULM. The last matchup came on Oct. 23, 2022, at Troy, and finished in a 3-3 tie.
ULM's last loss was a 1-0 defeat against Georgia State on Sept. 21, and since then they have gone 2-0-3. The Warhawks sit second in the Sun Belt West Division standings and fifth overall.
They have been led by Inge Konst with eight goals and four assists for 20 points. Konst also has three game-winning goals on the year.
