Men’s Golf Set for Pair of Tournaments

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's golf program sends two groups out to compete in the Little Rock Invitational and Turtle Point Invite from Monday, Oct. 16 to Tuesday, Oct. 17.
Group one sees Pablo Gracia, Jake Springer, Brantley Scott, Gage Carnes and Nick Fowlkes travel to Little Rock, Ark., starting at 8:30 a.m. with rounds one and two. While that team competes, group two of Laurenz Kubin, George Burch, Lee Poppell, Will Simpson and Greg Jones battle in Florence, Ala.

Meanwhile in Brooksville
The Trojans are one week removed from competing in the USF Invitational for an 11th-place finish, shooting 872 over two days and three rounds.
Gracia paced the field for Troy, winding up tied for 17th on two-under. His best came in the opening round when he shot 69 to hold Troy tied for fourth. The freshman continued by shooting 72 and 73 in the following rounds.
Last Year in Little Rock
In 2022, the Trojans were led by Scott through three rounds to finish fifth with a 214. Day one saw Scott shoot 66 to carry him through the three rounds.
Meanwhile, Springer tallied a 224 to finish tied for 33rd. Springer managed four birdies in round three to record his top score and jump the leaderboard.
