Troy Athletics Announces Date For Annual Basketball Tipoff Banquet

TROY, Ala. -  The Troy Trojan men's and women's basketball teams have announced a fun and exciting evening as the annual basketball tipoff banquet will be held Thursday, November 3, from 6-8 p.m. at the Trojan Arena.
The banquet, presented by Jones Medical Supply, will feature a dinner buffet, drinks, prize drawings, and a silent auction. Fans will also be able to meet the student-athletes and hear from a Q&A panel with the players and both head coaches. The evening will also celebrate the women's basketball program's most recent Sun Belt Championship.Â
"The Troy Trojan tipoff banquet has been a huge success over the past two years," said head men's basketball coach Scott Cross. "It is one of my favorite days of the year as it signals the beginning of a new season and a new opportunity to win a championship, but more importantly, it allows our players and coaches a chance to connect with all of our amazing fans and supporters."
Those wishing to attend the banquet can purchase individual tickets for $75 or a full table. A table includes six seats plus the opportunity to be joined by two basketball student-athletes. There are also sponsorship opportunities available for $1,000. The sponsorship includes a full table with recognition at the banquet. All proceeds will directly benefit the men's and women's basketball programs.Â
"Our staff and players are looking forward to the Tipoff banquet because it's our opportunity to interact with our fans," said head women's basketball coach Chanda Rigby. "We hope all who love Troy women's basketball will be at the banquet so we can introduce our new players to them as well as share our vision for what we hope to accomplish this season."
