Four Game Road Swing Takes the Trojans to Louisiana

TROY, Ala. – Troy baseball begins a four-game Louisiana road swing Wednesday night in Hammond as they take on Southeastern Louisiana in a mid-week clash beginning at 6 p.m. from Pat Kennelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
This will be the third consecutive year the Lions and Trojans have tangled against one another. Southeastern has won the last five games, including a sweep of Troy last season in Hammond. The Trojans last beat the Lions on March 2, 2019, in Troy.

After dropping a series to Little Rock last weekend, the Trojans look to end a two-game losing streak. Troy is 3-2 this season in midweek games and hasn't lost three straight games all year.
Trey Leonard looks to continue to lead the Trojan offense as he takes an 11-game hit streak into Wednesday's night contest. Over that stretch, Leonard is hitting .425 with 17 hits and seven runs batted in.
Seth Johnson and William Sullivan have set new career highs in consecutive games, reaching base. Johnson has reached safely in 13 straight games, which leads the Trojans this season, and Sullivan has been on base in 10 consecutive games.
Rigsby Mosley will toe the rubber for his fourth start of the season after moving up to fifth place over the weekend in at-bats in program history with 784 plate appearances. Mosley has a 1.08 ERA, the lowest on the team, and eight strikeouts with no walks.
Mosley continues to climb the active NCAA rankings in his senior season. Mosely enters Wednesday's matchup, having played 207 games in his Trojan career; he ranks seventh with 247 hits, third in the doubles category with 60, and 11th in total bases among current NCAA division one baseball players.
Southeastern Louisiana is 2-11 in their last 13 games. However, fifth-year senior Preston Faulker leads the Lions in almost every statistical category, including at-bats, hits, doubles, home runs, and on-base percentage.
Right-handed pitcher Hunter O'Toole will get the Wednesday start for Southeastern. O'Toole has a 6.68 earned run average in 31 innings pitched, striking out 30 batters and only walking eight.
