HAMMOND, La. – Down 4-1 in the ninth, Southeastern Louisiana used four runs on five hits to come back for a 5-4 walk-off win over Troy Wednesday night from Alumni Field.
The Trojans (18-10, 5-4) had held the Lions (11-18) to two hits heading into the final frame, but a leadoff walk spurred the comeback as Troy dropped their third straight game.
Marquez Oates (1-1) is credited with the loss, and Andrew Yuratich (1-0) gets his first win of the season.
Troy starting pitcher Rigsby Mosley had another stellar outing on the mound after going 4.2 innings pitched and striking out a season-high five batters. Mosley's only blemish came in the bottom of the fifth inning when giving up a solo home run.
Following Mosley, Kyle Gamble and Ryan Pettys shut down the Lions, combining to go 3.1 innings allowing no runs on no hits with three strikeouts.
Offensively Jesse Hall and Trey Leonard hit home runs to give Troy a lead two different times.
Hall took the very first pitch of the ball game deep to left-center field for his first home run of the season to give troy an early lead. Then, in the top of the sixth in a tie game, Leonard's home run broke the 1-1 deadlock to provide Troy with a 3-1 lead.
Kyle Mock added the Trojan's fourth and final run, as he and Leonard both finished with two hits on the night.
Mock has an RBI in three consecutive games, and Leonard has hit safely in 12 straight games.
Up Next: Troy travels up-sate to Monroe for a three-game series with ULM beginning on Friday, April 8, at 6 p.m.
