Troy Softball Set for Conference Home Opener Against ULM

TROY, Ala. – The Troy Softball team looks to carry its midweek momentum into the home conference opener against ULM this weekend at the Troy Softball Complex. The three-game series kickstarts on Friday at 6 p.m.

The Trojans (16-6, 2-1 Sun Belt) toppled NC State Tuesday, 7-0, in a road midweek tilt before heading home to the Troy Softball Complex.

Kelly Horne enters the weekend just one RBI shy of her 100^th career RBI. The junior leads the team batting at .429 with five doubles and six home runs.

Inside the circle, Leanna Johnson (10-2) leads the way for the Trojans after shutting out the Wolfpack Tuesday. The junior boasts a 1.54 ERA with 123 strikeouts over 81.2 innings of work.

WATCHING THE WARHAWKS:
ULM (15-6, 2-1 Sun Belt) took the series over Georgia Southern last weekend after a run-rule win in the series finale.

Lourdes Bacon leads the team offensively batting .403 with a trio of doubles, a triple and seven RBIs. Inside the circle, Kinsey Kackley paces the way with a 1.51 ERA over 41.2 innings of work. The freshman also leads the squad with 44 strikeouts.
