Koranga Tabbed Sun Belt Player of the Week

TROY, Ala. – After a pair of double-doubles and a record-breaking performance against Georgia Southern, Felmas Koranga was tabbed the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
"I'm grateful for Felmas being recognized as Sun Belt Player of the Week," head coach Chanda Rigby said. "Felmas is doing amazing things for this team. She is so deserving of this honor after her performance this past week."
Koranga set Troy's DI single-game record for rebounding on Saturday after hauling in 24 boards. The junior also added 11 points, good her second double-double of the weekend and 12th of the season.
On Thursday, the Nakuru, Kenya native tallied 15 points, 10 of which were scored in the second quarter alone. Koranga again added 13 rebounds, good for her first double-double of the week.
With a win on Thursday at Appalachian State, Koranga and the Trojans can clinch at least a share of the Sun Belt regular season tile.
The Trojans are currently riding a seven-game win streak into the final regular season weekend before heading to Pensacola, Fla. for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament next week.
