TROY, Ala. – Troy's next step on its 2025-26 journey begins Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. CT at Chartway Arena when it travels to Old Dominion to open Sun Belt Conference play.

The Trojans look to continue their historic 9-1 start (the best in Division I history) while attempting to open league play 1-0 for the first time since 2021-22, when they last won the SBC regular-season title.

Records Shattered
Troy broke program single-game records for 3-pointers (20), points (132) and assists (36) in a 70-point victory over Oakwood last Wednesday. Emani Jenkins went 10-of-14 from deep for a career-high 31 points, becoming the lone active Trojan with a 30-plus point game. Jenkins' 10 threes shattered Troy's program record for 3-pointers in a game and tied Nya Robertson (Tennessee) for the most in a Division-I game during the 2025-26 season.

Through 10 games on nonconference play, Troy ranks first in the SBC for assists (17.1), rebound margin (+11.2), defensive rebounds (30.9), offensive rebounds (17.2), total rebounds (48.1), scoring margin (+21.5), scoring (88.4) and win percentage (.900). Zay Dyer leads the league with five double-doubles while averaging 11.9 points and 12.2 rebounds. Jenkins ranks second nationally with 3.5 made 3-pointers per game on 45.5 percent shooting from long range.

On Feb. 5, 2025, Troy broke through for its first win, 83-80, over Old Dominion (7-3). Troy outscored ODU 20-10 in the second quarter and held on by outrebounding the opposition 52-36. Dyer shot 7-of-11 from the field for 19 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and a steal, while Fortuna Ngnawo came off the bench with 10 points in just 16 minutes, going 6-of-6 at the free-throw line.

Scouting Old Dominion
Old Dominion opens league play as the SBC leader in blocks with 7.2 per game. The Monarchs have held their opponents to 33.3 percent from the field, ranking 14^th in the country. Despite ranking only 11^th in the SBC in scoring offense (66.4), they rank third in points allowed at 57.9. Simaru Fields leads ODU with 11.8 points per game. Riley Stack (3.2), Laila Walker (1.3) and Simone Cunningham (1.2) each average more than one block per game.

• Troy was picked to finish third in the SBC Preseason Polls with 171 votes, while Old Dominion was selected fourth on 151 votes.
• Troy is 5-8 in SBC openers under head coach Chanda Rigby and seeks its first 1-0 league start since 2021-22, when the team won the regular season title.
• Troy trails 1-2 in the all-time series to ODU, earning its first win over the opposition in Trojan Arena on Feb. 5, 2025, 83-80.
• The Trojans are off to their best start in Division I history (9-1) and best overall since 1991-92 (10-1).

• Troy shattered its record for the most 3-pointers in a game (20) with the previous high being 16 against Jacksonville State on Dec. 14, 1995. They did it on 57.1 percent shooting from deep for head coach Chanda Rigby's 55^th game with 10-plus threes (49-6).
• With 1:30 remaining, Leilani Guion found Lana Koricanac for her fourth triple to set the program record for most assists in a game at 36 against Oakwood. The previous high was 35 against Chicago State on Jan. 20, 1997.
• The Trojans rank fourth in the Mid-Major polls and 75^th in the NCAA Net Rankings.
• Emani Jenkins converted all 10 of her baskets from deep for 31 points. She's the first Trojan with 30-plus points since Ja'Mia Hollings against FIU on March 25, 2024.
• Lana Koricanac nearly tripled her previous career-high in points (7) as she ended with 19 points on four threes. She also had career-highs in rebounds (7), field goals made (7) and 3-pointers (4).
• Ngnawo is 10-of-10 with games in double-figures after 11 points against Oakwood. She's scored 10-plus points in her last 13 games, dating back to North Dakota State on March 31, 2025.
• Emani Jenkins ranks No. 1 in career D-I 3-point percentage and second all-time at 38.9.
• Zay Dyer sits second in career D-I rebounds and 10^th all-time at Troy with 722 – she is 46 from passing Donette McNair (767) for first in D-I rebounds.
• Emani Jenkins has hit multiple threes in eight of her 10 games, including 3-plus in six for 35 total.
• Zay Dyer has scored in double-figures in 20 of her last 23 games.
• Troy completed a 23-point comeback against Longwood for its largest since Alaska-Anchorage (20) on Nov. 22, 2024.
• For the third straight season, the Trojans were crowned champions of an in-season tournament: Austin Peay Christmas Classic (2023), Great Alaska Shootout (2024) and Resorts World Las Vegas Classic (2025).
• With the program's first win over Missouri, the program also earned its fifth-ever win over an SEC program. It's the fourth time in Rigby's tenure.
• Zay Dyer joined the 1,000-point club against Missouri with 7:01 left in the second quarter on a jumper.
• Fortuna Ngnawo became the first 2025-26 Sun Belt Player of the Week on Nov. 11, averaging 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, four blocks and 1.5 steals in the first two games.
• For the first time since the 2021-22 season, the Trojans' coaching staff remains unchanged with head coach Chanda Rigby, associate head coach Jennifer Graf, and assistant coaches Stephanie Murphy and Grace Daniels returning.
• Troy reached the WNIT Championship game last season, falling to Buffalo after a historic run.
• The Trojans led the nation in rebounds per game (49.05) for the seventh consecutive year and led the Sun Belt in scoring (80.1), blocks (4.7) and assists (15.4) in 2024-25.
