Troy Falls in HEB Invitational Finale

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Troy finished in fourth place at the annual HEB Invitational after the Trojans fell to East Tennessee State, 4-2, Saturday morning in the third-place match.
Carles Anton and Noah Martens picked up singles victories for the Trojans (7-5) against the top-50 Buccaneers squad. Anton, who moved to 10-2 on the spring, won 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 on court two, while Martens moved to 8-3 in his debut spring for Troy with a 6-3, 6-0 win on court four.
Troy returns home Tuesday to play host to Middle Georgia State, first serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
