Women's Hoops Set for Wednesday Home Opener
12/6/2022 2:35:00 PM | Basketball (W)
TROY, Ala. – After opening the season with a seven-game road trip, the Troy women's basketball team is set to open the home schedule of the 2022-23 slate on Wednesday against Tulane.
Troy will enter the meeting with the Green Wave, having lost its last two games to finish off the road swing. Tulane, meanwhile, enters the game 2-2 in its last four contests. In their recent game, the Green Wave fell to LSU 72-85.
After playing five-consecutive games against programs that the Trojans have never faced in their program's history, Troy will finally play a familiar foe to open up the home schedule for the 2022-23 season. Troy and Tulane have met five times before, with the Green Wave taking all five meetings.
Krystal Freeman and Arsula Clark both netted 20-point efforts against Troy last December, but the Trojan defense will not have to worry about the duo posting those performances again as neither play is with the team this season. Instead, Troy will have to contend with Marta Galic, who is Tulane's leading scorer with 14.9 points per game.
