Troy Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams

TROY, Ala. – With both teams posting at least a 3.5 GPA, the Troy Men's and Women's Cross Country squads were named U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Teams, the organization announced Thursday.

The men's squad recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.5, the highest of any Sun Belt Team, while the women's team finished with an impressive 3.53 GPA.

"I am very pleased and very proud of our cross country teams' All-Academic recognition," head coach Brian Cunningham said. "I am not surprised by it in the least. I see how hard they work on a daily basis with their studies and in their sport. Cross Country once again is putting the "student" in student-athlete."

The USTFCCCA recognizes programs that earn a cumulative GPA of a 3.0, including the most recent grading period.
