Trojans Return Home To Face Alabama State

TROY, Ala. – After two consecutive weekends on the road, the Trojans return to the friendly confines of Trojan Arena Tuesday night to play Alabama State at 6 pm.
Troy (4-4) is looking to make it back-to-back wins for the second time this season as they face an Alabama St. (0-9) squad looking for their first win of the season.
"We are excited to be back in Trojan Arena," head coach Josh Lauer said. "Even though it is a quick turnaround, playing at home in front of our fans will be a great boost to help us finish off this last week of non-conference play."
Last weekend the Trojans finished the Chattanooga Classic 2-1 with a historic win over Virginia Tech, giving them their first season in program history with two wins over a Power Five school, with the first coming against Alabama earlier in the year.
Julia Brooks has a .359 hitting percentage which puts her second among all players in the Sun Belt, and she is seventh in kills with 3.10 kills per set.

Cheyenne Hayes became the Trojan's all-time leader in kills in the rally-scoring era, in Troy's Saturday night 3-1 match win over Chattanooga. Hayes passes Meghan Gilroy atop the list and now has 1449 kills in her career and is 195 kills away from being the all-time leader in Trojan history
Amara Anderson was named Chatannooga Classic all-tournament team with 113 assists, six aces, and 32 digs over the weekend. Anderson continues to lead the Sun Belt Conference with 10.80 assists per set, ranking 22nd in the country.
