TROY, Ala. – Following the rousing success of last year's inaugural T-Roy Parades throughout the Wiregrass, Troy's beloved mascot will return to the streets of Troy, Montgomery, Pike Road, Dothan, Enterprise, Ozark, Luverne and Brundidge in the back of a Jeep provided by Premier Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Troy this summer.
"We started the T-Roy parades last summer as a way to engage with our fans in the middle of the COVID shutdown and the response from our fans was amazing," Athletics Director Brent Jones said. "Due to the overwhelming turnouts last year, we not only decided to continue the parades this summer, but we also added more towns to the docket for this summer."
The first T-Roy Parade will take place in Montgomery and Pike Road on Saturday, May 22, ahead of the Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament at Riverwalk Stadium. T-Roy will head to Dothan, Ozark and Enterprise on Saturday, July 10, before visiting Troy, Luverne and Brundidge on Sunday, July 11.
Full parade routes featuring times and neighborhoods will be announced soon.
T-Roy would love to see Troy fans of all ages in their driveways or on the sidewalk as he makes his way through the various neighborhoods on his eight parade routes. Signs, photos and lots of noise for T-Roy are encouraged and can be shared via social media by tagging @TroyAthletics.
