Troy Welcomes Georgia Tech for Midweek Matchup

TROY, Ala. – After the weekend conference road trip at ULM, the Trojans return home to square off against ACC foe Georgia Tech Wednesday at the Troy Softball Complex. Game one of the doubleheader is set for 4 p.m.

Troy (29-9) returns home after a successful trip to Monroe, where the Trojans downed ULM in all three games of the series.

Senior Katie Webb leads the Trojans batting at .388 with 11 doubles, four home runs and 27 RBIs. The first baseman boasts a hardy .474 on-base percentage with 17 walks.

Leanna Johnson continues to lead Troy's pitching staff with an impressive 1.39 ERA over 126.0 innings of work. The sophomore has fanned 197 batters and pinned opponents to a .159 batting average.

SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS:
Georgia Tech (13-23) enters the midweek after falling in three of the four games with No. 15 Virginia Tech. Tricia Awald leads the offense batting at a .394 mark with six doubles, seven home runs and 21 RBIs.

Madison McPherson and Blake Neleman split the majority of time in the circle, recording a 4.63 and 4.95 respectively.
