Trojans Continue Spring Action at War Eagle Invite

TROY, Ala. -- The Troy track and field program hits I-85 this weekend when they make the short trip to Auburn University for the War Eagle Invite.

The two-day meet gets underway Friday afternoon with the women's hammer throw beginning at 2 p.m. and includes competitors from Auburn, Alabama State, Cincinnati, Memphis, Mississippi State, Missouri, MTSU, Samford, Southern Miss, Syracuse and UAB (women's track only).

Other day one action includes the long jump, the javelin, the 1500m, the 3000m and the 5000m.

Day two gets underway at 11 a.m. with the women's pole vault before continuing with the rest of the field events. The running events get underway at Noon with the 4X100 relay.

Following this weekend's meet at Auburn the Trojans won't return to action until they close out the month of April at the Maroon & White Invite (April 30-May 1). The meet will be Troy's final tune-up before the Sun Belt Conference Tournament (May 13-15) hosted by South Alabama.
