Birmingham, Ala. – Troy used a fast start and a 13-hit output to down UAB Tuesday evening at Regions Field in Birmingham. The Trojans notched six extra-base hits, including two home runs, in a convincing 12-4 victory over the Blazers.

Dalton Sinquefield continued his hot-hitting ways with a 3-for-5 night that included a home run three runs scored, which tied a career high. Drew Frederic recorded his 12th multi-hit outing in the last 17 games and has now hit safely in 22 of the last 24 games.

Rigsby Mosley looked like his normal self again with two doubles in a 2-for-3 performance. Caleb Bartolero homered as part of a two-hit, two-RBI outing. In total, eight different Trojans recorded a hit in Troy's eighth game of season scoring at least eight runs.

Ryan Pettys logged the start, but it was Kyle Gamble (2-2) who went down as the pitcher of record for the Trojans after allowing just one hit in four scoreless innings. Ryan Fultz, Noah Janney and Matt Snell each saw an inning of work to finish the game.

Frederic wasted no time getting Troy (15-16) started after he doubled down the left field line on the first pitch of the game. Logan Cerny tripled and Mosley doubled as part of the three-run opening frame for the Trojans.

UAB (10-21) tied the game at 3-3 with two runs in the first and another in the second, but a six-run fourth inning from the Trojans gave Troy a commanding 9-3. Troy batted around the order in the inning as Frederic walked to begin the frame and slapped a two-RBI single to right-center field at the end of it.

Bartolero's homer and an RBI-single from William Sullivan extended Troy's lead to 11-3 before Sinquefield went yard in the seventh for the Trojans' 12^th and final run.

UAB would add its fourth run in the eighth to bring the final score to 12-4. Matthew Reed (0-1) hung the loss for the Blazers after allowing three runs in an inning of work. In total, UAB used 10 pitchers in the game.

"It was a good road win, I'm proud of our guys tonight. The bats were great and I thought Kyle Gamble was terrific in four innings out of the pen. We did some great things offensively, especially with the extra-base hits. We made a few mistakes but we played right through them, and that's what I was proud of tonight because we hadn't done that as of late. All in all, this was a great Tuesday night road win that we can build off of as we head to Georgia State this weekend."

Drew Frederic recorded his 12^th multi-hit outing in the last 17 games and has hit safely in 22 of the last 24 games. The senior has now reached base in 40 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Dalton Sinquefield registered his sixth, and second consecutive, multi-hit game of the season. The right fielder is now 7-for-9 at the plate over the last two games.
Rigsby Mosley notched two doubles in the game to improving his career total to 49 and pass Matt Sanders (2015-18) for fifth place on Troy's all-time doubles list.
Logan Cerny tallied the sixth triple of his career and now has 49 career extra-base hits.
Caleb Bartolero went yard for the fifth time in his career and the third time this season with a solo shot over the wall in left-center in the fifth inning.
Troy has now scored at least 10 runs in eight games this season.
Troy outscored UAB 22-7 in two games to sweep the season series over the Blazers.
