ESTERO, Fla. – Brent Hamm shot matching rounds of 1-over 73 in Monday's opening two rounds of the Old Corkscrew Intercollegiate to pace the Troy men's golf team; the Trojans sit in 10th place overall.
Hamm carded three birdies in each of his Monday rounds and sits in a tie for 12th place overall at the 7,393-yard Old Corkscrew Golf Club. Reagan Harrell is tracking a top-25 finish as he currently sits tied for 24th place at 5-over par. He carded a 2-over 74 in the opening round before following with a 3-over 75 in the afternoon session.
Florida Gulf Coast holds a 10-shot lead over Jacksonville at the top of the leaderboard while Jacksonville State is 11 shots back in third.
Will McFadden is tied for 43rd place at 9-over following rounds of 74 and 79, while George Burch is tied for 47th at 10-over par. He opened strong with a round of even par before struggling to a 10-over in the second round. Nicklas Borrmann is a shot behind Burch in a tie for 51st place and Ryan Morrison is tied for 60th at 16-over.
Troy will play with Stetson and a group of individuals in Tuesday's final round; Troy's tee times start at 7:30 a.m. (CT).
