Women's Tennis Closed Out regular season at Georgia Southern

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Troy women's tennis concluded its 2021 regular season on Sunday in Statesboro, Ga. The Trojans fell to the Eagles in their final Sun Belt match by a score of 0-4.
Troy's record now sits at 7-10 overall and 3-6 in the SBC while Georgia Southern improved to 16-8, 7-3 SBC.
The Eagles got things going early on Sunday as they were to win the doubled point with wins on courts two and three to clinch the point and take the early lead. When the two teams entered singles play, The Trojans were unable to get anything going against Georgia Southern as the Eagles were able to win three straight matches on courts two, four and five to clinch the match.
Troy will be back in action at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament which will be played at the Peachtree City Tennis Center in Peachtree city, Ga. The tournament will run April 15- 18 with the seeding being announced at a later date.
