Troy Track and Field Travels to Auburn for Tiger Classic

TROY, Ala. -- The Troy Trojans Track program continues its 2021 outdoor season this weekend, traveling to Auburn for the Tiger Classic.
The two-day meet begins Friday afternoon and concludes on Saturday. Participating teams include Auburn, Alabama, Alabama State, Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, MTSU, Ole Miss, South Alabama, Tennessee, Troy, UAB and Vanderbilt.
Day One action begins Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the women's hammer throw. Day one concludes with the men's steeplechase at around 7:15 p.m.
The second and final day of action begins with the women's pole vault at 11 a.m. and concludes with the men's 4x400 relays at around 4:35 p.m.

Following the weekend meet up at Auburn, the Trojans won't return to action until April 2-3 when the Trojans head to South Florida for the South Florida Invite.
The Trojans men have had a successful start to the 2021 Outdoor season led by their field athletes and their relay teams. Jumps specialists Titus Sizemore has recorded the second-best high jump score in the entire NCAA this season when he recorded a score of 2.09m at the Jaguar opener.
Troy's 4x100 relay team has recorded the top-score in the nation when they finished the Jaguar Opener with a time of 40.81
On the women's side, Edita Sklenska, Lauren Locke and Maja Kuessner have each recorded top-five times in the nation. Sklenska's 800m finish of 2:10.25 at the Jaguar Opener was the fourth-best time in the nation thus far.
Locke's performance (11:18.70) in the 3000 steeplechase at the USA Invitational was also the fourth-best time in the nation, while Kuessner's score of 1.7m in the last week's USA Invitationals was the fourth-best score in the country.
