Women's Tennis closes out first Sun Belt Conference Weekend at home

TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's tennis team concluded its first home Sun Belt Conference weekend on Sunday against Coastal Carolina. The Trojans fell to the Chanticleers by a score of 4-0. The loss drops the Trojans record to 5-6 while Coastal Carolina improves to 7-3.
The day started off strong for the Trojans when they earned the first doubles victory of the morning on court three. The duo of Matea Mihaljevic and Shevita Aulana earned their win by a score of 6-2. Following the Trojan win on court three, Coastal Carolina would rebound for wins on courts one and two to earn the doubles point.
In singles action Coastal Carolina got the best of Troy. The Chanticleers earned wins on courts two, four and five to earned the 4-0 victory in the match. With the teams playing to clinch, matches on courts one, three and six went unfinished.
Troy will be back at home for two matches on March 20-21. The Trojans will host Georgia State at 10 a.m. on Saturday followed by a 10 a.m. Sunday start vs Georgia Southern.
