Troy (7-6) looks to snap a five-game skid as it welcomes the Green Wave into town. After struggling last weekend, the Trojans have begun to put bats on balls in a more consistent manner. Troy has posted nine and 10 hits in their last two games, respectively.
Drew Frederic is riding a six-game hit streak and has reached base in 22 consecutive games while newcomer Nic Nolan is batting a team-best .378 and has hit safely in 10 of 13 outings this season. Leadoff man Rigsby Mosley is fresh off a three-hit performance Tuesday night against Samford.
Friday night's contest will pit two outstanding arms against each other on the mound in Troy starter Orlando Ortiz (2-1) and Tulane ace Braden Olthoff (1-0). Ortiz boasts the third-best strikeout-to-walk ratio in the nation with 21 strikeouts on the year compared to just one walk while Olthoff enters the matchup as one of the best pitchers in the country with a 2.50 ERA.
Saturday and Sunday starters Garrett Gainous and Bay Witcher are both unbeaten within the friendly confines of Riddle-Pace Field this season. Gainous has struck out 19 batters on the year while Witcher boasts a team-best 1.89 ERA across 19.0 innings in his three starts.

Know Your Foe
- Tulane enters the series with a 6-6 record, but three of its six losses have come by a single run. The Green Wave have had a knack for dramatics this season with half of their games being decided by a run, including three extra-inning affairs to open the year against Louisiana.
- The Green Wave took the Friday night game against Mississippi State in Starkville before losing the next two via walk off.
- Tulane enters the weekend hitting .249 as a team and are led by Collin Burns' .373 average. Luis Aviles leads the Green Wave with 11 RBIs on the year.
