Women's Tennis Gets Back in the Win Column Rivalry Victory

TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's tennis team got back into the win column on Saturday with its in-state rivalry victory over North Alabama. The Trojans moved to 2-3 on the year with its 5-2 victory over the Lions.
After the dropping the doubles point, Troy came out firing on all cylinders in singles. After the Trojans fell behind 2-0 after losing on court five, Troy didn't taste defeat again. The Trojans quickly tied the match with wins by Matea Mihaljevic on court one and by Michelle Ncube on court two.
Troy earned its first lead of the afternoon with a victory from Anastasiia Khokhlova on court two before earning the match clinching point on six by Anastasiia Khrustaleva. The Trojans closed out the afternoon match with its fifth win of the afternoon, this one on court three by Shevita Aulana.
The Trojans will be back in action on Sunday when they travel to Chattanooga, Tenn. to take on the Mocs. First serve is scheduled for 12 p.m. (CT).
