Men’s Golf Continues Busy Slate with Trip to Graeme McDowell Invitational

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's golf team's busy early-season schedule continues Monday when the Trojans open play in the Graeme McDowell Invitational at the Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham.
The two-day event is Troy's third in the last three weeks after the Trojans tied for second at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate and finished sixth at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate.
Connor Futrell leads Troy through the first six rounds of the year with a 69.5 stroke average and four rounds under par, including a school record 64 in the opening round of the season. Brent Hamm was Troy's top finisher last week at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate with a 5-under 211 and carries a 71.5 average into this week's event.
Jake Tiffin has had similar success as Futrell finding the red numbers also with four rounds under par this year, including all three in the opener at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate. His 71.17 stroke average is second-best on the team.
Will McFadden has been solid in five of his six rounds this year and carries a 71.5 average after two weeks, while Ryan Morrison (74.67) returns to the lineup after playing as an individual last week.
