Women's Tennis Starts Season at Mercer

TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's tennis team will open the fall season in Macon, Ga., at the Mercer Gridiron Classic. The three-day event will begin on Friday Sept. 20 and be played at the Leroy Peddy Tennis Center.

Along with the Trojans and host Mercer, there will be seven other schools participating in the tournament. The other schools participating are: Alabama State, Belmont, Florida Southern Lakeland, Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State, UAB, and North Florida.

Head coach Rawi Elsisi is entering her fifth season leading the Trojans. Competing this weekend for the Trojans will be: sophomore Chunxi Guo and a pair of freshman Anastaiia Khokhlova and Tijana Svitlica.

The Trojans are coming off a 10-win season, including having four returners coming back for another year of Trojan tennis.
