Troy Welcomes UT Arlington for 80s Weekend; Time Change

TROY, Alabama – Troy's home stand continues as the team prepares for a three-game conference series against UT Arlington this weekend. First pitches on Friday and Saturday are set for 5 p.m. and 2 p.m. while Sunday's game time has been moved to 11 a.m.Â

This early conference matchup could prove crucial in terms of conference standings for both squads. The Trojans (22-13, 5-4) currently sit in fourth in the conference while, the Mavericks (17-25, 6-3) are currently sit at third. Â

Katie Webb continues to lead the offensive efforts for Troy batting a .358 with five doubles, a triple, a home run, and 21 RBIs. Last weekend, Stephanie Snyder and Kaylee Hussey both had an outstanding series against Coastal Carolina. Snyder finished the week batting .500 with five walks, a double and three RBIs while Hussey added six RBIs to her resume after hitting three doubles and a home run.

Leanna Johnson (14-5) continues to dazzle in the circle after pitching her fourth career shutout Wednesday against North Alabama. Johnson comes into this week's matchup ranked 15th nationally with 135 strikeouts and 12th nationally in victories with 14.

Scouting The Mavericks
The Mavericks come into the weekend after defeating a top ranked Arkansas team on Tuesday. Reagan Wright leads UT Arlington offensively with 27 RBIs. Wright is batting a .326 with five doubles and four home runs. Randi Phillips spends most of the time in the circle with a 3.08 ERA and 43 strikeouts over 109 innings of work.
