Troy Travels to Coastal Carolina

TROY, Alabama – Troy looks to end a five-game slump with a three- game conference series against Coastal Carolina. Game times are set for 3 p.m. (CDT) Friday, 1 p.m. (CDT) Saturday and 11 a.m. (CDT) Sunday.

The Trojans' (18-13, 2-4 SunBelt) five-game slump dates back to the midweek matchup against No. 8 LSU last week.

Katie Webb leads the offensive efforts batting a .370 with five doubles, a triple, and 18 RBIs. Webb sits at fifth in the conference in hits with 34 while Bailey Taylor stays high in conference rankings at second in RBIs with 26.

Leanna Johnson (12-5) comes in with a 2.80 ERA over 100 innings of work. Johnson sits at 15th in the nation in strikeouts with 117. Annie Willis (5-7) comes in just behind Johnson with a 2.97 ERA over 66 innings of work.

Scouting the Chants
Courtney Dean leads the offensive push for the Chanticleers batting a .354 with five doubles, nine home runs, and 23 RBIs. Coastal Carolina defeated Duke on Tuesday as seniors Chelsea D'Avilar and Alexis Alvino combined for two home run and nine RBIs.

Kaitlin Beasley- Polk (14-4) dominates the circle for the Chanticleers. Beasley-Polko currently sits in second in the conference with 14 wins, second with a 1.42 ERA, third with 108.1 innings pitched, and third with 100 strikeouts.
