Track & Field Inks Summer Williams for 2019-20

Troy, Ala. – Summer Williams has signed a National Letter of Intent to join Troy track and field for the 2019-20 season, head coach for cross country/distance Elliott Blount announced on Thursday afternoon.
Williams comes from Florida State High School in Tallahassee, Fla. Williams will run cross country and distance for the Trojans upon arrival in the fall of 2019.
"Summer adds much needed quality depth to our distance program," Blount said. "I'm always thrilled to work with student-athletes who are as engaged in their training as Summer is."
Williams joins six other signees as a part of the 2019-20 signing class for Troy's track and field program. So far in the signing class there have been six distance/cross country athletes including Williams alongside one sprinter.
