Troy, Ala. – Troy track and field has signed six athletes to National Letters of Intent for the 2019-20 school year.Â
The Trojans added four long distance runners - Lauren Locke, Baylee Evans, Bennett Brake and Silas Franklin, one middle distance runner in Cadi Rowe and a sprinter in Jasmine Riley.

Lauren LockeÂ
Marianna, Fla. | Marianna High School | Distance/Cross Country
Head coach for Cross Country/Distance Elliott Blount's thoughts…
"Lauren likes winning, you'd want her on your team if it's a competitive endeavor. She has an edge that will serve the team dynamic well."

Baylee Evans
Cartersville, Ga. | Woodland High School | Distance/Cross Country
Coach Blount's thoughts…
"When creating a mold for an ideal captain you start with characteristics Baylee embodies. Selfless, genuine and tireless in pursuit for perfection. Great natural fit for Troy cross country and track & field!"

Bennett Brake
Florence, Ala. | Florence High School | Distance/Cross Country
Coach Blount's thoughts…
"Unassuming times are a result of a baseball background. Bennett's new found love for running led to a breakthrough during his cross country season. His limited track experience makes him a runner to watch outdoor."

Silas Franklin
Smith Station, Ala. | Smith Station High School | Distance/Cross Country
Coach Blount's thoughts…
"A key addition to Troy cross country and track & field as he'll look to help lead the program to new heights. Being fearless in competition, and coachable makes Silas's ceiling ridiculously high."

Cadi Rowe
Minneola, Fla. | Lake Minneola High School | Middle Distance/Cross Country
Coach Blount's thoughts…
"There won't be too many distances Cadi won't cover while at Troy. Wiry runner with great range. Has instant impact capabilities, and we expect her to run well too!"

Jasmine Riley
Montgomery, Ala. | Park Crossing High School | Sprints
Assistant coach for sprints, jumps and hurdles Josh Biagtan thoughts…
"Jasmine Riley is a huge addition to our program. Jasmine is someone who will be able to come in and contribute to our program instantly. She's not afraid to work towards her goals and she is very coachable. She can do any of the sprint events (60-400m) and she shows up to compete every single race, especially the championship races. I'm very excited to have one of the State's best sprinters coming to Troy and I am confident that she will continue to perform at a very high level on a regular basis."
