Troy Tabbed No. 4 Seed in Sun Belt Conference Tournament

TROY, Ala. – Troy was tabbed the No. 4 seed in this week's Sun Belt Conference Tournament hosted by Texas State in San Marcos, Texas, the league office announced Sunday night. The Trojans have earned a first-round bye and will play the winner of No. 5 Louisiana and No. 8 Arkansas State Friday, Nov. 22, at 5 p.m. on ESPN+.
It is the Trojans' highest seed in the tournament since 2012, when Troy was the No. 2 seed. Both Troy and Louisiana finished with a 10-6 conference record, but the Trojans earned the No. 4 seed by virtue of their 3-1 win over the Ragin' Cajuns on Oct. 12.
This marks the third-straight year Troy has qualified for the eight-team tournament, tied for the program's longest streak since Troy joined the Sun Belt in 2005. The Trojans' 10 regular season conference wins tied for the most in school history.
