Cross Country Preps for NCAA South Regional

TROY, Ala. - The Troy men's and women's cross country teams will continue postseason action on Friday as both teams will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to race in the NCAA Division I South Regionals. The women's 6k race is set for a 7:30 a.m. start with the men's 10k hike slated for 8:30 a.m. at Apalachee Regional Park.

The Trojans will send a nine-runner slate, five women and four men.

Last time out, Macki Walsh paced the Trojans at the Sun Belt Championships with a 24th-place finish in 18:27.1. Freshman Cadi Rowe and sophomore Tanner Guest rounded out Troy's top three finishers placing 27th and 30th, respectively. Walsh will not be racing in the NCAA South Regional.

For the men, seniors Bradley Dixon and Daniel Glick led the Trojans at the Sun Belt Championships; however, neither will be returning to the track this weekend. Rather, Troy will look to a younger group led by sophomores Blake Vaughn and Thomas Ward.
