Troy Set for Weekend Tilts at South Alabama, Georgia State

TROY, Alabama – The Troy soccer team continues Sun Belt Conference play with a pair of road matches starting with a rivalry match at South Alabama on Friday and concluding at Georgia State on Sunday.
The Trojans (2-9-1, 1-2-0 SBC) dropped two tough games last weekend. Appalachian State scored with 35 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime, then struck again in the second OT period to pull out the win. Coastal Carolina scored midway through the second half to break a tie and earn a 2-1 victory on Sunday.
Natalie Melillo scored and earned an assist in the Appalachian State game. She leads the team in both categories with three goals and three assists. The Trojans' 10 goals this season have been scored by eight different players.
