TROY, Alabama – The Troy soccer team will host Appalachian State on Friday and Coastal Carolina on Sunday in Sun Belt Conference action.
The Trojans (2-7-1, 1-0 SBC) opened league play with a win over Louisiana last week. Natalie Melillo scored the game's lone goal in Troy's 1-0 victory. The senior has scored twice this season to go along with two assists.
Appalachian State (3-4-1, 0-0) dropped both of it matches last week falling to North Florida on Thursday, 1-0, and Radford on Saturday, 2-0. The Mountaineers are led offensively by Maggie Hanusek with two goals and two assists.
Coastal Carolina (2-4-1, 1-0) defeated Little Rock, 2-1, last Friday but had its contest against Arkansas State postponed during to Hurricane Florence. Baylee Price paces the squad with a pair of goals, while goalkeeper Rylee Atteberry has played all 650 minutes between the posts posting a 1.25 goals against average for the Chanticleers this season.
