Trojans Gear Up to Host Florida A&M for 80’s Night

TROY, Alabama- Troy (19-16) looks to bounce back following a tough series loss against Georgia State as it hosts non-conference opponent Florida A&M in a midweek tilt on Wednesday, April 4, at the Troy Softball Complex. Game one of the doubleheader is set for 4 p.m., and game two will begin at approximately 6 p.m.
Sophomores Katie Webb and Logan Calhoun remain the offensive leaders for the Trojans. Calhoun has recorded .347 at the plate with a league-leading 29 runs with 42 hits, two home runs and 16 RBI. Webb leads the team with 25 RBI and has added 12 runs, 39 hits, a team-high four home runs and .345 batting average.
Annie Willis continues to be Troy's ace in the circle, throwing 91.0 innings with 68 strikeouts. The freshman ranks third in the Sun Belt with 1.69 ERA.
FAMU enters the contests at 13-20 overall, but are riding a six game winning streak. Through 33 games, Lau Williams leads the Rattlers with .359 at the plate, while Kyaira Brown leads the pitching staff with 3.08 ERA through 109.0 innings.
PROMOTIONS
Wednesday night will be 80's night at the Troy Softball Complex with the best hits from the 80's and trivia questions. The Trojans will also be hosting members of the Troy Miracle League as they join the team on the field for the National Anthem.
