Troy Squares Off Against Texas State in Sun Belt Tourney

FOLEY, Alabama – The eighth-seeded Troy soccer team is set to square off with regular season champion and No. 1 seed Texas State in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Wednesday at the Foley Sports and Tourism Complex.

The Trojans (5-13-1) enter the tournament after winning the final two games of the regular season including a 1-0 victory over rival South Alabama. Texas State (10-5-2) claimed the league's regular season crown with an 8-0-2 conference record that included a 3-0 win in Troy earlier this month.
The championship tournament begins in Foley, Ala. on Wednesday, Oct. 31. The opening match will pit No. 5 South Alabama against No. 4 Appalachian State at 10 a.m. CT. Semifinal matches take place on Friday, Nov. 2, and the championship match is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 4, at 1 p.m. (CT). All matches of the tournament will be broadcast on ESPN+.
