Troy Athletics Bringing Mardi Gras to Trojan Arena

TROY, Alabama – Troy Athletics is bringing the Mardi Gras party to Trojan Arena. The inaugural Trojan Mardi Gras will take place prior to Troy's men's and women's basketball doubleheader against Little Rock on Saturday.

Free to all, Trojan Mardi Gras will let the good times roll beginning at 12 p.m. inside Trojan Arena. The two-hour party will feature a Taste of Troy with food from several Troy area restaurants and vendors – Conecuh Sausage, king cake from Publix, Momma Goldberg's gumbo, Marco's Pizza, Alabama Peanuts and Moon Pies.

Birmingham native Halle Nolan will provide the live entertainment with a concert beginning at 12 p.m. Only 14-years old, Nolan has performed at numerous different venues and events including The Listening Room, Troy Fest, Tootsies, the SEC Fan Fest, the CMA Fan Fest and the Tin Roof in Nashville.

There will be plenty of fun for Trojan fans of all ages with inflatables, tailgating games, a basketball shooting contest, Mardi Gras beads, T-Roy, the Troy cheerleaders and much more. ScreenTech will hold a Mardi Gras Special as well with Buy One, Get One Free on select Troy merchandise within Trojan Arena.

Inside Trojan Arena, fans will be able to purchase two general admission tickets for just $10 to catch the Sun Belt doubleheader between Troy and Little Rock. The concession stands will feature jambalaya, shrimp po'boys, mocktails and Mardi Gras punch.
