TROY, Alabama – Troy outdoor track and field will travel to Auburn once again Friday and Saturday for the War Eagle Invitational. It will be the second time the team has competed in Auburn this season, with the first coming two weekends ago at the Tiger Classic.

Kicking off the competition on Friday afternoon will be a trio of Troy hammer hhrowers, featuring Michael Alvernaz, who currently sits at third place in the conference. After throwing the hammer, Connor Brookman take to the runway for the javelin throw in hopes of improving upon his stellar performance last weekend.

Helga Volgyi and Allison Taylor will throw the hammer for this women this weekend, looking to improve their conference standings. Myles Charley will be competing in the triple jump following a strong performance at South Alabama last weekend. To finish the Friday events, the Invitational Section of the 5000-meter run will feature Mikayla Hodges and Samantha Smith for the women, while Brackin Stewart and Sawyer Sprung will compete for the men.

On Saturday, Titus Sizemore will begin the field competitions for the Trojans in the igh jump event while the women's 4x100-meter relay will kick off the track events for the day. Riley Schwietz will be featured in the women's long jump for the women, and Myles Charley will return to compete in this event for the men.

Niata Alexander will represent the Trojans in the 400-meter dash, in hopes of improving her ranking in the East Qualifying Region (46^th). Also aiming to improve their regional ranking are Corina Wieser-Cox, who currently ranks 14^th in the region in the discus, and Zach Douglas who sits at 16^th in the shot put and 34^th in the men's discus event.
