Track and Field Returns from South Alabama

Final Results
MOBILE, Alabama – Troy outdoor track and field returned to a familiar track as they competed in the South Alabama Invitational this weekend. It marked the third time that the Trojans competed at USA's Jaguar Track.
FEMALE PERFORMER OF THE MEET
Corina Wieser-Cox came away with yet another victory this weekend for the Trojans in the discus throw, throwing 51.68 meters, and is the current Sun Belt leader in the event.
Riley Schwietz had a strong performance in the opening event of the meet, finishing fifth in the heptathlon with a score of 4576. Erika Kulp ran an impressive personal record in the 800-meter run, coming across the finish line with a time of 2:20.37.
MALE PERFORMER OF THE MEET
Connor Brookman broke his personal best in the javelin throw, with a toss of 59.02 meters on his fourth attempt. The throw was good enough to secure a second place finish in the event.
Zach Douglas won yet another shot put event for the Trojans, executing an 18.04-meter throw – .05 meters short of a new personal best. Titus Sizemore also scored big for Troy, jumping 2.01 meters in the high jump for first place. Myles Charley was the runner-up in the triple jump, despite leaping out to a season-best 15.01 meters.

The Trojans will continue their season April 21-22 at Auburn's War Eagle Invitational.
