Rumble on Rocky Top: Troy Travels to No. 11 Tennessee

TROY, Alabama – Troy hits the road for a matchup at No. 11 Tennessee on Wednesday at Thompson-Boling Arena. The game is set for a 6 p.m. tip and will be broadcast on SEC Network+ as well as over the airwaves on WTBF.
Troy (4-1) came away victorious in its last game thanks to some last-second heroics by Kayla Robinson and Amber Rivers. Trailing Jacksonville, 88-87, with 1.7 seconds remaining, Robinson's inbound pass found a wide open Rivers under the basket, who put it off the backboard and in to lift the Trojans to an 89-88 win.
Tennessee (8-0) is outscoring opponents by 25.9 points on average but faces a challenge on Wednesday as the Trojans enter the contest third in the nation in scoring averaging 91.8 points per game. The Lady Vols beat Alabama State, 104-51, it their last outing and were led by senior center Mercedes Russell, who scored 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Russell is shooting 69.3 percent (61-of-88) for the season.
