Troy Hoops Teams Host Meet and Greet on Monday

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's and women's basketball teams will host a meet and greet on Monday at 5 p.m. at Trojan Arena. Both teams will host open practice; water and light snacks will be served.
Fans are encouraged to come meet this season's student-athletes and coaches as well as take in the action of practice.
The women's team claimed the Sun Belt Conference Tournament title last season, finishing with a 20-13 record and earned its second-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. Senior Caitlyn Ramirez returns as the team's leading rebounder (7.0 rpg) as well as senior guard Arjae' Saunders, who averaged 12.4 points per game last season.
The men's team is coming off a year in which junior Wesley Person continued to dominate the league and sophomore Jordan Varnado established himself as the forward of the future. Person has hit a 3-pointer in every game of his career and has the nation's active streak of most consecutive games hitting a shot from behind the arc. Varnado scored 13.2 points in only 28.3 minutes as a true freshman.
