Troy Outdoor Continues Competition at War Eagle Invite

TROY, Alabama– The Troy track and field team will send over 60 athletes to Auburn, Ala., to compete in the War Eagle Invite, which begins Friday and ends Saturday.

After a great finish at the South Alabama Invitational, the Trojans will have 62 different athletes compete in various events at the War Eagle Invite with 30 athletes competing on the female side and 32 athletes competing on the male side.

Friday's competition will feature men's and hammer, women's javelin, men's and women's triple jump and men's javelin. Caleb Brown, Michael Alvernaz and Thomas Servino will get things started with men's hammer throw at 2 p.m. on Friday.

Saturday gets kicked off at 10:30 a.m. with the women's pole vault, featuring Carissa Madson. Various events will be competed on throughout the day and will conclude at 5:45 with the men's 4x400 meter relay race. Trevon Reese, Cameron Rice, Chaun Lynn and Tyson Robinson will compete in that event for the Trojans.
