Troy Battles South Alabama in Sun Belt Tournament

TROY, Alabama – No. 8 Troy and No. 1 South Alabama square off in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament held in Foley, Ala., at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Trojans (7-9-3) defeated their in-state rivals, 1-0, on Oct. 7 snapping South Alabama's 33-match winning streak over Sun Belt Conference opponents. Kiersten Edlund scored the game's only goal in the 7^th minute when she hammered home a shot after a failed Jaguar clearance in the box.

South Alabama (12-5-1) enters the tournament looking to claim the event for the third straight season. The Jaguars dropped their regular season finale to Appalachian State, 4-3.
