Trojans Wrap-Up Second Day of ITA Championship

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama- Troy women's tennis wrapped up the second day of the ITA Southern Regional Championships on Saturday.

On the doubles courts, Sanae Ohta and Efriliya Herlina won their first match on Friday as they moved on to faced a duo from Louisiana Monroe, where the Trojans fell 8-4.

Three back draw matches took place as Ohta, Herlina and Karaky competed in the draws. Herlina faced Polina Ivanova of North Western State, but was unable to pick up the win. Nancy Karaky played Skylar Holloway of LSU. Karaky fell to Holloway 6-2, 6-1. Ohta closed out consolation play for the day as she defeated Elena Sava of Louisiana- Lafayette 6-2, 6-1.

Ohta will continue back draw play on Sunday.
