Troy Closes Home Schedule; Senior Day Sunday

TROY, Alabama – The Troy soccer team wraps up its 2016 home schedule with a pair of matches over the weekend. The Trojans welcome Coastal Carolina on Friday (7 p.m.) and Texas State on Sunday (1 p.m.).

Links to live stats and live video can be found at TroyTrojans.com. A Senior Day ceremony will be held prior to kickoff on Sunday as the Trojans recognize Nicole Harris, Alex Huynh, Abby Reynolds and Annabell Simpson.

The meeting with Coastal Carolina will be the first between the schools as the Chanticleers are playing their first season in the Sun Belt Conference.

The Trojans (6-6-3, 2-2-2 SBC) are looking to right the ship heading into the last two weeks of the season. Troy currently sits ninth in the Sun Belt standings with the top eight teams advancing to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in November. Entering the weekend, six teams are tied for third in the league with 10 points; just two points ahead of Troy.

• Goalkeeper Mikki Lewis ranks second in the Sun Belt and 11^th nationally with seven shutouts.

• Lewis is two wins shy of tying Ashley Branham (35) for most wins by a goalkeeper in Troy history. Lewis already owns the career shutout (27) record.

• Troy's 0.815 goals-against average ranks second in the league.

• Senior Abby Reynolds stands alone in seventh for most career goals in Troy history with 18; she is also third with seven career game-winning goals.
